Garlic broth (cold and flu remedy)

Ingredients:

  • 2 garlic bulbs
  • A handful of herbs (sage, parsley, cilantro, etc.)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Preparation:

Chop up the first garlic bulb, and put it in a separate bowl. Take the other bulb, and separate the cloves. Peel and crush them.

Cook the crushed garlic cloves with some olive oil on medium temperature until soft and golden brown. Add 2 quarts of water, and bring it to a boil. Add in the herbs, and the rest of the garlic. Simmer for 40 minutes or until the liquid is reduced by half.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Strain your broth, and you’re ready to eat.
