The following ingredients will give you about 35 gummies.
- 250 ml lemon juice (no sugar added)
- 5 tbsp magnesium citrate (a powder sold in pharmacies as supplement; has pleasant citrus flavor)
- 3 tbsp organic gelatin powder
- 1 tbsp organic sweetener (maple syrup, honey, stevia)
- A pinch of sea or Himalayan salt
Stir the magnesium powder into your lemon juice, and it should start foaming. Add one tablespoon at a time, wait for the bubbles to settle, and add the rest of the powder.
Pour the liquid into a pot, and add the gelatin. Stir well, and turn the heat on low or medium once the gelatin is fully dissolved. Warm up the liquid, and add your honey and salt. Do not overwork it with your whisk because it will start foaming again.
You should get about ¾ cups of the liquid. If you need more liquid, feel free to add more juice.
Pour the liquid into a mold, and put it in your fridge for half an hour. You can also pour it on a baking tray and cut it in whatever way you prefer.
Eat up to 5 gummies per day. If you have never used magnesium supplement, start with a small dose (1-2 gummies), because this mineral provides a laxative effect.
